How to Create, Send, and Approve Estimates

Estimates are the spine of every SiteView job. Build them, send them, and get e-signature approval — all in one place.

Step-by-step

  1. Open Estimates → New Estimate. Pick the client and project address.
  2. Add sections (e.g. Demo, Plumbing, Finishes) and line items inside each section. SiteView totals everything for you, including markup.
  3. Attach photos, plans, or scope documents from the Attachments panel.
  4. Click Send and pick how the client receives it — email link or downloaded PDF.
  5. The client opens the link, reviews each line, asks questions if needed, and signs with an e-signature right in their browser.
  6. Once approved, SiteView turns the estimate into a project so you can start project costing immediately.

Tips

  • Build reusable templates in Catalog → Line Item Templates to speed up future estimates.
  • Use change orders to add scope after approval without rewriting the original estimate.
